When the doorbell rang, it was longer and harder than normal, like someone was ramming an angry finger on the button. Then the window suddenly was smashed and the police were inside the house.

It was eight years ago in Tehran, but Parisa Kohandel, who was just nine at the time, remembers the authorities coming to take her father as if it happened yesterday.
“I was crying, and I hugged him, and they were just searching the home,” she says. “I hugged him so they wouldn’t take him.

“Then, they put a gun on my head and separated him from me.”

IACNT, August 30th, 2015- The People's Mojaheding Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) is an Iranian opposition group seeking to establish democracy in Iran. It was founded by a group of young students in 1965, and after 50 years of history it has become the largest and most organized opposition against Mullahs in Tehran. Major U.S. figures join call for regime change in Tehran

Tens of thousands of Iranian opposition exiles gathered in France last weekend for an annual rally demanding regime change in Iran and condemning President Obama’s push to sign a nuclear accord with the Islamic republic.

The gathering was led by the Iranian exile organization, the National Council of Resistance of Iran, and drew dozens of current and former officials from the U.S., Europe and the Middle East who joined in the call for Iran’s Shiite Islamist government to be overthrown.

Iranian-American: Good for Congress to Hear from Iranian Opposition

It was a positive development for the Congress to hear testimony from an Iranian opposition leader last week, says Ross Amin, vice president of the Organization of Iranian American Communities.

Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), testified on Wednesday before the House Terrorism, Non-proliferation, and Trade subcommittee.
