In Iran, anti-government protests have filled the streets for weeks. Now, witnesses say, the bodies of executed protestors are filling the morgues.

"I feel like my eyes are blind. I don't see anything, other than just news," said Hannah. "And then, staring at my phone, maybe I can hear from them. But yeah, I'm so worried."

Born in Iran, she asked that we call her "Hannah" and hide her face: the Iranian government knows she's here. "I have a couple of times received threats from my family through them," she said from her home in North Texas.

Iranians in North Texas on edge after deadly crackdown on protestors

Iranians in North Texas are following the spiraling situation in Iran and whether the U.S. will strike.

Hundreds of American troops are being evacuated from the region in anticipation of a possible attack. President Trump has repeatedly warned that the U.S. may take military action over the killing of protesters and even promised protesters on Tuesday on social media that help is coming.

Iranian-Americans organize North Texas protests in support of regime change

DALLAS - Iran's supreme leader is blaming U.S. President Donald Trump for ongoing protests in the country. Ayatollah Ali Khameni says the U.S. and Israel are supporting the protests. He is referring to them as terrorists and suggests a bigger crackdown is coming.
Trump says he backs the demonstrators, and is warning of retaliation if Iran targets peaceful protests.

Dallas Community Stands with Iran’s Victims of Execution

Dallas, Texas, October 13, 2025

On Sunday, October 12, our Iranian-American community came together at JFK Plaza in Dallas to honor the memory of those who have been executed by the Iranian regime and to stand in solidarity with families still waiting for justice.

The rally marked the World Day Against the Death Penalty and featured a powerful photo exhibit of men and women whose lives were taken simply for wanting freedom. Each face told a story — of courage, of loss, and of a nation’s ongoing struggle for dignity and human rights.
